Many public and semi-private golf clubs have agreements with other clubs, allowing members to play at a discounted rate. However, you need to ask the pro shop to request tee times for you, which is mandatory. This process takes time and approval is not guaranteed. Additionally, there are often limits on how many times you can play at a particular course per year. This outdated method of booking reciprocal golf play ends here.

New UGP Reciprocal Booking Process

At UGP, we have simplified and streamlined the reciprocal tee-time booking process by removing golf shop staff entirely. UGP Members self-book ALL reciprocal tee times, here's how.

It's easy, Members will:

1. Log into their UGP account

2. Choose a public, or semi-private club from our extensive list

3. Ensure the tee time aligns within the availability parameters set by the club

4. Members will use the UGP Reciprocal Code to self-book reciprocal tee times online or by phone

5. At check-in, the pro/golf shop will verify the UGP membership number with photo ID to provide the reduced reciprocal rate

Is our club required to offer extra "Perks"?

No, your club is not required to offer additional perks. Perks are optional and are used by clubs to attract players from other UGP Public & Semi-Private Clubs by offering specials or discounts on items or services
If our club allows reciprocal play during specific days or times, does this mean our members or the general public cannot book during this time?

UGP never expects your club to turn away members or paying customers. We have several options to ensure reciprocal access to the tee sheet does not interfere with member and public bookings, events, tournaments etc. Please contact us, click here
Does our golf club retain full control of our tee sheet?

Yes, your club always retains 100% full control of your tee sheet, and changes can be made to your reciprocal listing at any time, free of charge!
Is there a minimum number of days per week that we must accept reciprocal play from UGP Public & Semi-Private Members?

Yes. Golf Club Operators must offer UGP Public & Semi-Private Members: 1) A minimum of 1 reciprocal tee time per week during the active season 2) Ensure tee time allows UGP Member enough time to complete 18 holes Note: Club members and the general public can still book tee times the club set aside for reciprocal play
Does UGP require clubs to install third-party booking software?

No, we have simplified and streamlined the reciprocal booking process by allowing all UGP Public & Semi-Private Members to self-book reciprocal play online or by phone
How do we pick our Reciprocal Rate? Are their any restrictions?

There are no restrictions, golf clubs can choose whichever rate best suits the club. Note: If your club only offers twilight tee times for reciprocal play, please ensure that it allows the UGP Member enough time to complete all 18 holes

How do we select reciprocal tee times for UGP Public & Semi-Private Members ?

Your club always maintains complete control of your reciprocal listing. Your club can accommodate reciprocal play from as little as one tee time per week, or several per day, it all depends what works best for your club
Will our club members have access to stay and play packages even though our club does not offer one?

Yes, all UGP Members have access to amazing stay-and-play golf packages throughout the UGP Network If your club does not offer stay-play golf packages, that is perfectly fine as it is not a requirement. However, if you decide to offer stay-and-play packages in the future, please do not hesitate to contact UGP. We will be more than happy to assist you in creating a free, customized stay-and-play listing on our network.

If our club extends reciprocal play to top-tier public and semi-private clubs, will our members receive reciprocal access to all public, semi-private, and private golf clubs in the network?

Yes, Private Golf Clubs that allow limited reciprocal play from selected top-tier public and semi-private golf clubs will receive reciprocal access to all golf clubs in the network, worldwide. Allowing reciprocal play from Public or Semi-Private UGP Members is optional, and is not required. Why allow reciprocal play from top-tier public and semi-private clubs? In the effort to attract new members or expand the existing waiting list, accommodating guests from public and semi-private golf clubs offers an opportunity for these individuals to gain firsthand experience of the advantages associated with transitioning to a private club.
